"They Live" is one of the best MARXIST POLITICAL movies of all time--it is basically a symbolic (and tounge-in-cheek) look at how a revolutionary communist party would start to organize against capitalism (where the glasses represent the exposure of the crimes of capital (e.g., communist lit), and the glassy-eyed lady was a symbol for black (or other minority group) capitalists--a group that is exploited as a whole (humans by the aliens) where a few are allowed to rise up if they join in the exploitation (e.g., black administrators, police chiefs, CEOs, etc.).
