[kj] palin ban

Alex, I feel your pain regarding your disgust of these brood of jackels. However, once the pendulum goes the complete opposite way one has secular humanism, which ushered in the extreme tactics of horrific "leaders" like Ronald Reagan since the "left" had little to come back with since they were.....bickering among themselves.
Then during the Clinton era we had "Postmodernism". I guess what I am proposing is something along the lines of an instructor saying "Charles Darwin and Lamark proposed the most feasible physical theory of the evolution of species; however, some think that a spiritual force might have been involved, while others completely dismiss it; this is for you to decide".
Bottom line, if you simply embrace the tactics of the right and do not allow *any* discussion of a divine presence, then you will be fostering rebellious mindsets in some kids who feel that they are "rebelling" by rejecting what they think is your secular dogma.

Temperance is the key to life, and is the ultimate weapon against fundamentalists cut from any cloth.

Bette

As far as I'm concerned, there is no difference between wanting to impose creationism in schools and merely wanting to have it "taught alongside" conventional scientific study for the sake of "healthy debate." Creationism has no place in schools in any capacity. Full stop.

I'm not worried about Sarah Palin banning KJ discs (Killing Joke should be so lucky to garner such publicity). I'm just fucking sick of right wing, Pro-life, Bible-bangin', gun-carrying wing nuts and their bullshit agenda. It begins and ends there.

Just like she did NOT ban any books nor did she try to IMPOSE creationism in classesI think it's quite fair to state that she would NOT ban KJ related stuff. If this is the mostextreme stuff that you think exists you need to do a tad more reading. It's nice to make presumptions based on no facts but reaching for straws gets tiresomeafter a while does it not?At 08:33 PM 9/6/2008, fluw wrote:
how many people on the gathering doubt if sarah palin were to become aware of killing joke cd's or, (haha finally) a jaz coleman book in a library, she would not have them banned?as a killing joke fan, would you be apposed to this banning?as your nations VP and following a very likely health failure from Mc Cain, she would then be your president and the most powerful nutcase in the world, are you comfortable with her decision making? or would you rather she just go back to running cliff's state like a despot on a runaway train and get with a proper sex reassignment surgery and promptly get on with giving her twin wynona judd a stiff ass to mouth?i vote for giving it to wynona_______________________________________________Gathering mailing listGathering at misera.nethttp://four.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/gathering
Competition is a barbaric, insensitive ritual that reeks of social Darwinism. We cannot allow the fittest to survive on our pages. Your loss is someoneelse's gain, and your gain is someone else's loss. Therefore, losers contributeto the society and winners take away from it. Being a winner is unethical, whilea society of losers is happy and striving as a collective. In the spirit of diversity, inclusiveness, and collectivism our contests shall have no winners.Everyone is declared a loser, which in our book means an ethical team player. _______________________________________________Gathering mailing listGathering at misera.nethttp://four.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/gathering
