[kj] (OT)Why haven't the Left got Georgia on their minds?

Of course Pat Buchanan has his own issues. He is the one who wrote
Reagan's famous speech at Bitburg, Germany, where Reagan said that
German SS soldiers were surely as much victims of WWII as Jews! This
speech inspired the Ramones song "Bonzo Goes to Bitburg."

My point was to refute flukefluke's contention that these cartoonish,
carcicature-ish leftists are the only ones who either overlook Russia
aggression, or who provide apologia for it. That isn't the case.
Paleo-cons and others have pointed out repeatedly that Georgia started
the war. Another noteworthy artcile in this vein, from someon who also
isn't a leftist, is this one:

"Georgia Tries out Bush War Doctrine, But Loses Badly":
http://www.alternet.org/audits/94706/georgia_tries_out_the_bush_war_doctrine,_loses_badly/

That's by Gary Brecher, the "war nerd," who writes about war the way
some people write about basketball or football. he also points out that
georgia instigated the conflict. Despite the fact his column was posted
at Alternet, above, that is not the origin of the article, which was in
a print magazine that is not leftist.

Why can't anyone say the presidnt of Georgia fucked up big time, and bit
off more than he could chew when he invaded South Ossetia (adjoined to
North Ossetia, which is inside Russia) and killed hundreds if not
thousands of ethnic Russians in his own country, promptig the Russian
response? is reflexive anti-Russian sentiment that bad, that when they
try to protect their own citizens, it means, oh shit, they are bullies?
Thats ridiculous. Jhn McCain even said: 'We are all Georgians." It's a
total farce, to borrow a phrase from new Model Army.
