Yes, you do, but you must realise that not everyone else does .
Some of us like peace and quiet . You , by all means make as much noise as you like, but you shouldnt disturb everyone else in the process .

Bollocks!
Don't make me laugh, I've got a cracked lip.
He's a nutter - has problems and is a bully - to the extent that his methods of social control include using explosives because the authorities have told him that there isn't an issue in the sane world. I'm considering (with other neighbours) getting an ASBO out on him if he continues to use such threatening behaviour.
There are legimitate noise complaints and then there are the forces of noisephobics. The latter being mostly self obsessed twats.
Me? I like to hear life around me, like kids playing, music in the air, dogs having the odd yap, lawn mowers mowing, car and house alarms having the occasional blast et al - within reason. Those who can't cope with that joie de vive shouldn't be allowed to take precedence over others. It's bonkers to inflict a 'silence when I say so' regime.
If their personal problems are really that big then they should live in their own village.
Personally I'd wear earplugs if I couldn't deal with my neighbours' sons drumming et al, either that or work on my tolerance levels. Let people living their lives and having fun be.
Killing Joke on a headphones only policy? lol

You have caused this guy to act this way because of your barking dogs ?
You say that your dogs only bark for ten minutes per day , but if that were the case, then the other guy wouldn't be acting the way that he is .
The guy wouldn't fire fireworks at your house if it was just for ten minutes a day .
Why should other people have to wear ear muffs ? And you accuse other people who complain about loud music as having "insomniacal neurosis " and you say that this is the reason as to why they complain .
They aren't complaining because they have insomniacal neurosis , they are complaining because the music is annoying . It is irresponsible and anti social to subject your neighbours to such an extent that they have to take the drastic actions that your neighbor took .
It must be terrible living next to inconsiderate neighbours .

What about, 'if you don't like loud music, wear ear-muffs or get yourself a deprivision tank?'
Compromise agreed but the anti-noise brigade get it too much their own way.
Most of 'em take their insomniacal neurosis out on other people. Fuck that! - they'd complain about their neighbours farting given half the chance and they're given way too much power these days.
We've got a bonkers guy who harasses us about the dogs barking. Which is for all of ten minutes a day, collectively when they're getting tacked up for their walks. Bear in mind that he lives over a dual carriageway to us. The authorities refuse to act on his behalf as he's out-of order so because he's nuts and is so angry, he's become a vigilante. When the dogs bark, he shoots a firework rocket at the house. He also cycles around the neighbourhood calling dogs to their gates so that he grabs a megaphone and yells at them. He's even has a recording of barking which he pops into his car's boomer and drives round the block at dawn - causing all the dogs to yip so he can hammer on doors, scream and shout, pin notices on doors about noise pollution and generally whip out his loudspeaker at every opportunity.
Within reason, it's down to individual to sort out their social intolerances.

If people want to listen to loud music, then why don't try do it through headphones ?
Its very unsocial and annoying to have to listen to other peoples music .
Asking neighbors politely to turn it down is the correct procedure and if they dont comply, then violence is the way of dealing with the problem .
