Okay devil's advocate says:

Yeah I suppose millions of deaths through starvation, wars, massive
inequalities in recources, human rights abuses etc are a small price to
pay to keep a minority of blinkered insecure people happy at reinforcing
their differences with everyone else by associating with some idea of
nationality.

I dunno, there's lots a ways to transition to a new form of society. It
wouldn't be inconveivable that you could affiliate with a group such as
this, and support them in every way possible within the laws of your
country...by donations, power of boycott, lobbying etc, and in effect
you're more a citizen of the new society than the one you're operating in.
Over time if that form of society is any better and more efficient a
decent % of people would see that their lot would be better if they joined
that group, and make the move.

Those that are able.

Dunno, just the way I see it.
