[kj] OBAMA HAS WON a nation falling apart

Tone doesn't translate in email, which is why I sprinlke so many smileys
around...I should have here cos I was being sardonic to some extent. In an
earlier email tonight I was saying that I think he'll have a positive
impact overall...but like Bongo and a few others, and Noam Chomsky who I
quoted and agree with Oliver on, I don't see a fundamental change in the
power structure coming. Hence not a huge change in the average person's
lot.

He's a successful american politician, so he HAS to be Christian, he HAS
to sell out to the corporates, he HAS to use rhetoric.

I'm totally stoked for you guys, and everyone, and I'm not raining on your
parade, but I'm a reliast too. So sorry, I'll be as cynical as I see fit.

And in terms of the financial storm that's still developing, I don't see
any point in being 'positive' about it, it's gonna cause untold pain in my
opinion and all the denial about it that's gone on for the last several
years achieves nothing.
