You're preaching to the choir Olly, I was just getting Ade back for his
sacriligious comments about Soundarden being an STP rip off, which had me
foaming from all orifices and, for a change, speechless :)

Me and Ade are both rabid Bill Hicks fans...I mean I'm a Tool fan so it
goes without saying, they put a bunch of his soundbites on their track
Third Eye (to which I swear i always thought the lyrics went 'brian opened
my 3rd eye' as opposed to 'prying open my 3rd eye' :)

HOWEVER...check out some Sam Kinison on Youtube...with Bill Hicks in mind.
I think we've been over that one, they were good mates etc. But so much so
that Hicks seems to have picked up some of Kinison's speech habits,
inflection, emphasis...hard to describe but give it a look with that in
mind and you might see what I mean. Perhaps they were both channeling some
black overcoated chain-smoking misanthropic alien entity from Sirius...

Talking about plagarism, anyone catch the Joe Rogan vs Carlos Mencilia
debate? This may sound weird, but if you watch any Joe Rogan I really
think he's taken the torch from Hicks in a lot of ways...for a guy I used
to think was a meathead reality tv / UFC presenter he's fucking funny and
insightful IMO. Armchair alchemist too, always on about DMT and his
isolation chamber and weed.
