Geodie sounds like a Dutchman? Ik geloof het niet!
(Well, I have met a few Dutch people who studied in English in Britain,so you probably do have a point).

Groetjes,

Have these same police heard an Amsterdam accent, when speaking English? It sounds kind of scouse/geordie lol!
Apologies to some in advance, but an accent I have problems with is Welsh..sounds like they're conspiring all the time..

This article says interesting things about Scouse.
I've always known the accent (grew up hearing Beatles
and Echo... now it's Ladytron) but never knew it had a name.

At one point the article borders on calling Liverpool a circus
and also says,
"When Dutch police tapped the phone of Liverpool drug baron Curtis Warren...
Merseyside Police... were called in to help translate the recorded phone conversations." wtf?

... ... ... ... ... ...
(looking at the current state of things)

'Save me..
save me from Tomorrow..
I don't want to sail in this Ship Of Fools...!'

Presumably scouse was in close second?
