Nice one. And I'd say the gaffes, etc, are simply down to a lack of sophistication, which likely endears him to a lot of his supporters. They prefer a politician they can understand, which is fair comment really. I think that's a common problem that people like him appear to be the answer to, for that particular section of the public.

The cohort around him (Cheney, Rumsfeld when he was on board, Condoleeza
Rice) are obviously really smart in a Dr Strangelove sense. Bush is the
Howdy Doody, folksy face that that crowd of gangsters and thugs puts
before the US public.
You know what Mary Poppins said - a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine
go down. Jon Stewart said Bush doesn't talk like he's stupid -- he talks
like the US public is stupid. On the other hand, his verbal gaffes are
well documented, on tape, etc., and aren't made up or anything.
