The Plank reminds me of the pushups we did in Judo classes
when i was a kid; they were called Japanese pushups but most
everyone else calls 'em Hindu or Dive Bomber pushups. Awesome stuff.

The plank is the best abs exercise ever. Build up to 3 * 90 seconds every day: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHQmRINu4jU

I used to be able to do this, but I never find time to do any core stability exercises these days.

I do sit on a Pilates/Swiss ball all day at my desk though, which in theory means I am engaging my abs at a low level all the time, (which I think helps).

Stomach crunches -- torture, but effective.

What are those situps called where you do a crunch while pulling your knees up
to your stomach? Supposed to be the best thing ever...

strengthen your abs first, otherwise your back is always going to give you grief..

Had back issues for a long long time. I did cut down on my biking since I started handball.
Only did 20 miles today earlier (Had time off in the afternoon). Then handball at night for 1 hour.
