If you're on about the es295, well, the original trapezoid tailpiece gives you the ability to bend the strings disproportionately, which ain't gonna happen with a Bigsby. So, you can bend the top strings down, whilst not bothering the bottom strings too much. So, you're not divebombing, basically.
