Everyone I’ve ever met called Jaz was a knob-end. Anyone else had that?

The guy whom Jaz flipped out on was ME (Greg)--I just mentioned to him that
I was a Marxist, and he yelled out "So you believe that a living body and a
dead body are the saaaaaaaaaaame?!?". Then he regained composure enough for
me to ask how long the Joke would continue for (this was around '94) and Jaz
said something like "For the rest of my life, I think..." (That could be
good news, but if they sell any fewer copies of a future cd in the US than
they did of "Hossanas", we'd by selling them the cd...

Only today I was thinking about that guy (was it westsidetempest?) who said
to Geordie & Jaz at a record signing, that he didn't think there was a g0d &
Jaz went fucking mental at him. Jaz - what a fucking bell-end !!!

Yep, those big fat businessman cigars show REAL humility ;)

Just like the pipe dream of expecting the band to follow the ideals they
preach. Only some of the fans do. After meeting Jaz a few times I get the
impression of a very closed minded individual that I did not like. Just
remember, Money Is Not Our God? Lol. I think it is Mr Colemans.

I do admit I expect more from this list at times, but that's just my
expectations talking. Me thinking that most KJ fans would be more thoughtful
about shit, which is just another pipe-dream I expect !

People will never, and unfortunately gatherers are as guilty as most in some
respects. Which I find surprising. Not totally open minds.

I'm definitely guilty of being pessimistic when it comes to shit like this -
totally agree with you Mel - don't wish to shoot you down, but I guess I can
come across like that.

it might sound idealistic but i do wish that everyone would accept one
another for the colour they are,and all sides to stop throwing insults,i
know it will proberly never happen 100 percent, but still ,one day maybe ;)!!

Well, as I said, it was a Sly Stone cover. I don't mean to keep on, but as a
fan of both Perry & Ice T, I never considered it to be anything more than a
cover/statement. Any nastiness on-stage, is clearly part of the statement,
of how fucking pointless racism is. 'Cos we're all pink inside!!! It's a
GOOD THING from Sly Stone to point out that calling someone whitey is just
the same as calling someone nigger. Now we're talking. I find modern UK PC
society seems to think it's ok for any sort of ethnic group to have a dig at
the majority UK population because, well it's White Guilt, isn't it. Fucking
double-standards rubbish.

Racism ain't EVER going away. It's far more complex in that it's not even
about race, the colour of someone's skin is merely an indicator that kicks
off a set pattern of thoughts, prejudices, in a persons' mind. We all have
it built-in, some have to supress it, as they were brought up in racist
environments, whereas some find it easier to supress it, due to different
learnt behaviours. Coming from a shitty council estate, I was brought up
with talk about pakis, etc, etc, around me. YAWN. Aren't parents supposed to
be our examples? ;) Ignorance is the norm, if not something to be proud of
in those places. I can honestly say I've heard people use the phrase "Strong
in arm, thick in head" - now that's something to be proud of!!!
Soooo.........

..........in cultures where little thought is encouraged, racism will be
rife, as it's easier to blame EVERYTHING on the easy option, typically being
'foreigners'. I figured that bollocks out by the time I was 8, ffs.

Anyway, rant over ;)
