Fire Dances - Mighty. The original vinyls was okay at best. You'd
typically have to blast it to appreciate the nuianuances on vinyl. The tape
mwas awful and the CD was worse. Grade A
Night Time. I hear a difference but it was pretty good to begin with. The
bonus' are the real gems.
BTATS - Wow. I have a new appreciation for this release. The original on e
never bothered me but thus mix really breathes new life into it. I do agree
that comparing the original to the remaster would be nice.
OTG - It still sucks. Does it sound better? Absolutely. Is it worth
anything? No. The only thing I appreciated from it was the innards. Beyond
that it still stinks

I picked up all four cds last week at the local Virgin Megastore and during
my spare time listened to them the past few days.
This may be a surprise, but I'd never owned or even heard Outside The gate
before this week. Up 'til now, it was the only KJ album I've never bought
because of it's notoriety as a piece of crap. I have to say, it still is.
Like others have said, the new version of BTATS is a vast improvement over
the original release but I'm glad I held on to my original cod. I think
Fire Dances is the one of the 4 remasters that has brought me back to that
respective album. Night Time doesn't sound like a big improvement sonically
over the original release but the bonus tracks make this my favorite of the
bunch.
