I was just "let go" for the second time in 3 years.  The job stunkj and the pay was bad at best.  The only good thing about it was that I could surf all day. There was nothing good about it.  And on the same day my mother got an offer from GM.  Things are bad all over.  So I'm back to freelancing.  All I can say Alex is hit it hard.  You'll have to work more and get less.  But it sounds like that will be the norm form now on.

Yes, it pays reasonably well depending on your industry, region, experience etc. You won't get rich, but you'll be able to keep yourself and loved ones housed, clothed and well fed. While it's not creative work it's usually interesting. So yeah I'd recommend it Brendan.
