[kj] OT Boycott the film Tropic Thunder

Bill Murray carried Lost in Translation in his pocket. Michael Bay could've directed and it still would have been great (more explosions and probably a CG Giovanni Rabisi though). Critics can bite a dick all day. Don't give two shits what they think about stuff, only what I think about stuff.

Yes to Marie Antoinette being horrible though. I mean, I never saw it but it clearly sucks. What a shitty idea. And i can't stand Kirsten Dunst.

If _Lost in Translation_ did not have the name "Sofia Coppola" attached
to it, I honestly believe a) no one would give a damn, and b) at least
50% of the critics who found something artsy in the prolonged,
mind-numbingly slow silences that characterize the movie, would not have
given it positive reviews.

Just witness Coppola's next project, Marie Antoinette, where she tried
to give the controversial, cruel woman from french history a hip
post-punk soundtrack. That one was also bad, and at least by that time
many critics' star struck "SOFIA COPPOLA!" bias had worn off a bit.
