(shoegazer metal)…there’s an oxymoron…I gotta check this out :-)

PS: There should never be any confusion that you’re listening to metal…if
anyone ever asks you if you’re listening to metal, then you’re NOT listening
to metal. \m/ (or however it goes.)

PPS: Doesn’t writing the horns as an emoticon TOTALLY diminish it?

Lots to choose from. The good stuff is a lot harder to find these days. Like
trying to find a needle in a stack of other, shittier needles. Off the top
of my head:

Sunn0))) (drone-doom)
Jesu (shoegazer metal)
Agoraphobic Nosebleed (grindcore with drum machines)
Parts and Labor (artsy/noisy pop-rock)
Bloodhorse (stoner/doom)
Xiu Xiu (art-damaged pop)
Today is the Day (experimental metal)
Sleepytime Gorilla Museum (avant-garde evil shit)
Kavinsky (electro)
Crystal Castles (glitch/thrash)
Stars of the Lid (ambient drone)
Zombi (synth-driven instrumental stuff)
Maserati (instrumental post-rock)
Boris (Japanese stoner/doom)
Antigama (grindcore)
SebastiAn (electro)

What's new that's been floating your boat?

Looking at what you've liked recently check out Indie Pop Rocks on SOMA FM

(HYPERLINK "http://somafm.com/play/indiepop%29"
\nhttp://somafm.com/play/indiepop)

Lots of good stuff on there (well, i think so...)

Stuff like Office, New Pornographers, Silversun Pickups

I don't know how 'new' you'd class some of these but of late I've been
enjoying

mew - esp Frengers

Mars Volta

Blonde Redhead.

Elbow (new ones a bit patchy though)

Pitch Black - N.Z. electronica & I've only recently discovered did
programming on Pandemonium

black rebel motorcycle club

interpol - say what you like, but...

Amusement Parks on Fire - kinda like a high speed collision between My
Bloody Valentine & Ride

Bloc Party can have their moments (& then can also have not) I found them to
be a grower. A weekend in the city's good.

Biffy Clyro - loved these for years
