Bongo you lying bastard you said you weren't into 'NZ Roots' ages ago!
Shucks :)

PS: Do you know who 'Pete Mate' is, I saw his post a while ago about a gig
at the King's Arms, couple of bands from Wellington...?

i'm in the same boat - have hardly any idea about m/any good current
bands...
there's always plenty off timeless older stuff out there tho!

been listening to . . .
John Lydon - Pyschos Path
Hair and Skin Trading Company - Jo in Nine G Hell

great tunes that for my money wont date that much at all....

as for new music, i can only offer up 2 examples...
Tiki Taane - Past Present Future (EPIC nz dubby reggae sound, a must have!)
Bedouin Soundclash - Street Gospels (not that fresh, but bloody lovely
stuff! kinda innocent and friendly - good mellow happy music...)

also just got the new KORA cd, more NZ reggae... love the drum and
bass in it, but not so keen on the vocals/guitar/horns... some not bad
tracks tho... these guys are awesome live i have been told (many times
over the years) but alas i've always been doing other things..

=)
