the classic punk grunger motorcycle band. Their two early singles are really good but not as well produced as the albums. Arise is pretty excellent and the easiet to get hold of. The first 12" Sanctuary is my favourite but hard to find and was posted up here a little while ago. Monolith the last offering is great but not as good for me.

Cool interview. Thanks for posting that.

I must confess to not being all that familiar with Amebix. Where would be a good place to start? What disc?

Thanks

Amebix have reunited briefly and have re-made a couple of their songs, both of which are KJ-influenced.

The first song at the page above is "Winter." Now tell me that that drumming in that song doesn't remind you of Big Paul. Heavy on the toms and stuff.

Likewise, the second song, "Arise," except for the opening riffage, gets into "Wardance" territory, and one can almost hear Jaz about to say "The atmosphere's strange ... out ont he town...."

Both songs are teasers/excerpts, but good.
