[kj] OT: The Cure

No info on chainofflowers.com about it either, although the webmaster of that is on holiday.

It is happening though http://www.gigwise.com/news/37316/the-cure-to-play-wembley-arena

I honestly think it would be better for them to play small venues, lets face it they have only been doing one UK date since Bloodflowers, some people aren't even aware that the band still exist, better promotion. There again, at their age putting in 3 hour shows is impressive, which is better, stadium arenas for 3 hours or smaller venues with sets of 2 maximum? Better atmosphere vs Long shows....hmmm.

Who knows. If it wasn't for this list I wouldn't have known anything about it - and I'm signed up for Ticketline, Ticketmaster and See tickets emails!

Couldn't find mention of it on thecure.com either. But then, it's not the best band site in the world.

Yeah, they should just play smaller venues - they certainly don't have the fanbase they had on the Prayer Tour. I think this is why they are playing only one gig in London - they certainly wouldn't fill the MEN these days.

Yeah, I'm still gonna go. And pay a small fortune for hotel/travel. Managed to rope a mate in (sorry Flightbringer). And hope there's no ticket fiasco when it comes to booking.

Cheers,

Janean

Does anyone know if there is to be a pre-sale on The Cure tix?

I still cant believe that they are playing Wembley cack Arena *again*, its about time they stopped these awful stadium gigs and played smaller venues, as much as I love The Cure, they dont have the fanbase that they used to....The Prayer Tour was amazing, but that was 18 years ago!

One UK date just doesnt cut it, too lazy, they need to tour properly at smaller venues.

Enough complaining...still gonna go.....

Remebered that somebody had mention wishing the Cure would play on home soil.

They play Wembley Arena on 20th March.

Brian.

3 hours - blew me away. I wasn't prepared for how good it was and
nothing's ever topped it, really.

Just wish they'd play on home turf. They've done so much in the US and
Europe recently and are going back to the States again soon. Still
nothing here.
