[kj] Quick Poll - best film of 07

28 Weeks Later (whatever the first one was) was also shot entirely in digital. So To attempt to compensate they went filter crazy. I guess the budget was next to nothing. For that type of movie. I love good horror movies. And 99.99% of the ones coming out in the last 8 years have been crap.

Haven't seen many good films lately. BUt I have to comment on this: I HATE the way so many movies of the last 3 years or so have that computerized-looking colored tint (i.e. Saw II) --it looks awfully fake.

"28 Weeks Later" had a great plot (better than the 1st one), good direction, etc., but was terrible visually due to the fake coloring and CGI camera effects, such as sped up images and fake-looking jiggling cameras (and that hand-held camera style of filming is so played out already).

Also saw "Fido", which may be the 1st ever family zombie movie--clearly played homage to George Romero, but w/ a cute plot and lots of satire.
