The Mob were a good bunch. I remember doing a few gigs with them back in the day, zounds weren't too bad either...I need to go dig in my record boxes...cheers!

Yes, I rate The Mob highly too - ditto Zounds and Blyth Power. There's an interesting echo of The Mob's "Raised In A Prison" on the latest Blyth Power album. Anyone else spotted it?

have the mob album on my car stereo at the moment, still stands up to
this day. There first single was in 79 but I recall the day Let The
Tribe Increase came into the record store we were hanging out in and
when it went on i had to go and shoplift some items in order to buy
it. We had no money and were on the dole, wheeling and dealing our
days by. The record was played constantly for ages.
i still listen to Blyth Power and like Joseph Porters lyrical ability,
Joseph being teh drummer for the Mob and Blyth Power came out of the
ashes of the mob. He refused to do a gig at the 62 Club i ran though,
considering it too dangerous!
