  Godflesh are an acquired taste it has to be said but live especially around the time of the first album was an awesome experience.  Two guys making one hellova noise.  Yet as any Brummie you who went to small gigs in and around the city will tell you what a lovely pair they were.  I got to know Justin for a while through a mutual friend and he was an interesting bloke and geniuinely friendly.  I saw three shows on the Loop/World Domination Entreprises/Godflesh tour and each night afterwards your body was numb and vibrating - not helped by travelling back in my mates bedford van!!  Wot a tour that was if anyone who went would agree!  Never heard Jesu until the recent posts but will certainly be buying their stuff now.  Never saw him in Nalpalm Death though he had left when I saw them - a truly bizarre live experience!!

    I've never been a fan of Godflesh and just got into Jesu (thanks to the posted links), and if you mentioned the name Justin Broadrick to me a couple of weeks ago i'd have said: who?... but now i just realized he has a huge background as musician starting with the very early Napalm Death. The guy seems to be a really humble person with both feet firmly on the ground, even with that big old roots, and that's always something to appreciate.
