The most recent Celtic Frost release, 2006's _Monotheist_, has some
saggy gothy stuff, and one song does have a sort of Sisters of Mercy
vibe ("Drown in Ashes"). But I'd compare CF's "Drown in Ashes" to
something like Theatre of Tragedy's 1996 "And When He Falleth," which is
actually not a bad song at all and from that band's _Velvet Darkness
They Fear_ LP.

I hate 99% of Theatre of Tragedy's stuff, but "And When He Falleth" is
def. a keeper. It's better than the Celtic Frost track.

In fact -- hell! Here's an mp3 of it. It has some cool Vincent Price
samples from the movie _The Masque of the Red Death_ that really make it
kinda great:

The Vincent Price spoken in the above mp3 bits also sorta remind how
freakin' cool Vincent Price was. Not up for long! Most other Theatre of
Tragedy stuff sucks big time but this was their one great moment.

influences (Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, Siouxie) and KJ is often included
in that Goth catalog, so who knows? (still i can't see any influence of
the mentioned bands in CF's music).
