I kinda agree with you, Alex.
He has put out good stuff back in the days... up until Let Love In his
body of work was almost perfect (you gotta hate Foi Na Cruz).
But, like many a musician before him, mr. Cave seem to have lost it...
this new Grinderman project sounds terrible, laughable even IMO. It
sounds too artificial to be even considered as something serious...
stuff kids do and upload to myspace to get some attention... you know,
many bands seem to have kept some sort of brilliance after a long
time... you get the two last releases by Mission of Burma and KJ to
see what I mean (I know you detest Hosannas, me, I place it above
Pandemonium), but some seem to lose it permanently... to me, Nick Cave
is in the latter category... I know he still gathers a considerable
flock of followers who sling stones at those who dare talk down the
"loverman"... but I couldn't care less... to me, he's a has-been.
