I like Planet Earth. I also think Live After Death is one of THE best live albums EVER. It's hard work dealing with the blinkered ones, innit!

AhhH!! now i get it: spandex = rawk so i guess Olivia Newton John circa 'Physical' was also there for drugs, alpha males (or maybe chics too) and alcohol. Not to mention those holly metal ones named Stryper. ha!!.
So i can see you aprove Killing Joke dressing like Duran Duran but not dressing like Iron Maiden (which i supppose were in the Metal scene also for drugs, chics and alcohol).

And just to be registered on the record: I like early Duran Duran and everything by Iron Maiden from Diano to Dickinson. The point is i just can't make a judgement only because of the way someone dresses. An alcoholic, a drug adict, or a guy looking for fun is just that, no matter if you're a metalhead using expandex or a top class executive wearing Armani.

If you want to talk about authentique so called "Real Deal" bands (if i'm getting your idea) talk about Fugazi then, not Killing Joke.

I listened to the first 5 studio albums today and could not find any "Rawk"

in any of them. Am I missing something while listening to these fine works?

I dont remember Jaz in spandex or Geordie with a V-neck guitar although I

remember Big Paul having a somewhat large drum kit. What "rawk" bands from

the 80's shared the Joke's sound? It seems to me fans who come to the Joke

from a "rawk" background hear something I don't. I once knew an ELO fan who

belived they inspired house music! He was a wrong and so are many of you

IMO.
