I remember reading an interview with Kevin Sharp (Brutal Truth, Venemous Concept, etc) where he described the Misfits live show as being so terrible that it almost made him want to burn their albums. And this was in their heyday. Actually....

Yeah, first time I saw the new Misfits I realised all my old Misfits live 
tapes weren't actually that bad recordings... the band really DID sound 
that bad! Like the speakers were full of mud or something.
As for Jerry looking like a wrestler, I have a short clip of them actually 
taking part in some WWF-type wrestling match... it's off the scale of 
ridiculousness! Needless to say they get utterly trashed!
