[kj] 1000 SUNS Outside Gate and PHANTASMAGORIA

Superjoint Ritual aren't really thrash. More like grind meets southern doom a la Soilent Green. Hank III is a touring bassist only (i think). I have their first CD and it's pretty decent. The Alcoholik is a great song. Anselmo is indeed a dork. Props to him, though, for paying off Mike Williams (singer from Eyehategod) bail money. There's a whole sordid tale of him being in the wrong place at the wrong time in the wake of the whole Katrina disaster. He wound up in jail with something like a 20 000 bail.

Superjoint Ritual? I just finished watching American Hardcore and Phil
Anselmo (Pantera fame) and Hank Wlliams III made an appearance. They are
both in the band and why they were in thi documentary is beyond me. For
whatever it is worth Phil Anselmo and whatever project he is on is okay.
Nothing to shit my pants about but god damn that man is annoying as fuck
when he goes to speak.

Shut up and play

Chris

p.s. Superjoint Ritual is a-typical metal thrash/whatever. IMO the only
good ting about them is Jimmy Bower of Eyehategod fame pakying guitar.

p.s.s. (or whatever it is) I do see the Misfits things riddled throughtout
the movie. Funny.
