I've always loved the fact that so-called punk rock has more rules and regulations than any other kind of music.

No, because if you examine the very term, "post-Punk," it's a
significantly broader term (i.e., that which came after punk, using
punk as a catalyst). But when you get into all the frantic hair-
splitting you so love (that which is and which is not "hardcore" yet
may also be punk but not metal), it's all a bit like "The Sneetches"
by Dr.Seuss.

Give these bands the freedom to be whatever they want to be before
you shove them into some claustrophobic little box.
