[kj] philosophucky

I was trying to stay within the context, which I found a bit too broad and
absolute...to me the statement came down to 'which model of interpretation
you chose is a function of power'...which I find too simplistic. I don't
believe there's a single input in that model, there's many. As evidenced
by the how many different ways of interpretation exist (although you could
argue that they all derive from different competing power structures I
suppose...but I wouldn't buy into that).

I find the same problem with root-cause analysis, people too often fall
into the trap of thinking there is a single root cause. Take a fire for
example...it requires fuel, oxygen, and ignition. Root-cause analysis into
the *extent* of a fire might come up with the fact that the sprinkler
system didn't work, the firewalls didn't operate as they were supposed to,
smoking policies were too lax etc...

I'm not that aware of Jung beyond a basic idea of the collective
subconscious...I've read a few Nietzsche works but in english and he's
pretty contradictory at times. One of my favourite saying is from him
though (which is funny because he was the last person to ever live up to
it):

"Turning away shall be my only negation"
