It is quite a simplistic view to say that if we didn't spend money on the Iraq war, then we could have paid for more NHS drugs , for one , War stimulates the economy , War generates wealth and therefore a War will help to pay for more drugs for the NHS .
  The UK has recently pledged £50 Billion to aid Africa , how about that we stop giving money away to foreign countries and sped it on the people who generated the cash in the first place through the payment of taxes?
   The NHS has also recently spent/wasted £12Billion pn a new computer system that doesn't work , how about spending that £12Billion on drugs , rather than on an obsolete computer system?
  Saddam also failed to comply with the 1991 ceasefire agreement , and this failure to comply with the 1991 ceasefire agreement makes the latest war justifiable

But British troops are still over in Iraq fighting an unjust war whilst people are denied life saving drugs in the UK.

That is the point.

We went to war based on Weapons of Mass destruction being mobilised within 45 minutes. When there was no evidence. Therfore our premis for war was wrong and unjust.

America went to war on the premis of regime change.

Those are the facts.

British troops are only targeting the insurgents , British troops are targeting the Iraqi insurgents , the insurgents who are doing the killing of innocent people , the insurgents who are bombing markets and Mosques . That is something that we must never lose sight of . We are the good guys . Our troops are over their risking their lives in order to bring peace to Iraq , show some gratitude

Phew. That's OK then. 

Glad you put me right so I would have been gutted to know that British troops had killed someone. But I am mistaken. So the British troops are helping old ladies with their shopping instead are they? That's nice of them. Maybe they can dig a garden or two over, paint a fence and then teach all the baddies that we're the goodies!!

And where the fuck did the cosmetic surgery bit come from?

I feel that I must disagree with all the points that you raised Rob , I do find you views quite naive and your views will only appeal to those who follow blindly and cannot think for themselves: The allied forces are NOT in Iraq killing people , the Allies are there to try to stop the killings , its also not a "far off land" , its only a six hour flight away and what diference does it make how far away the land is? The allies are there trying to bring peace to the land and to stop the killings , and for you to imply that they are there killing people is a gross misrepresentation of the facts .
  Cosmetic surgery is NOT available on the N.H.S. , its only available to people whom are physically or mentally harmed by their affliction , (big ears being pinned back for example) . Cosmetic surgery is available only the N.H.S only where its deemed to be hindrance   to the persons life . The drugs costs amount to £3.500 per month , and over ten years this adds up to £500 000, whilst someones big ears being pinned back will only cost a few thousand pounds.
 I also disagree with the way Tony Wilsons abused his position by showcasing bands on TV that he liked , this is unprofessional and also unfair , a man in his position should remain impartial.
