On a similar note, my gf and I went to see Bauhaus *open* for NiN last
Summer (ahem -- *open*? In a just world it'd be the opposite). We were
part of a small island of Bauhaus fans in the middle of a sea of the
sort of nu-metal suburban jocks that seem to be attracted to NiN mostly
now. (Yeah, there are exceptions, but a lot of times it's bro-ville and
shirtless frat dudes into nu-metal that are lately en masse at NiN
shows, or dudes in way oversized black shirts and massive black pants --
sorry, just my observation ). We just went to see Bauhaus and left after
they exited the stage. They did not play "Bela," which I can understand.

Still, Peter Murphy would announce, like Johansson of the New York Dolls
in '05 (I mistakenly said '06), "This is a new song we wrote," and I
would, again, cringe, and Bauhaus would play ... a new song. I don't
know why. It just seems ... wrong.

But yeah -- given the option, I just want to hear "Down on the Street," "Loose," "TV Eye," "Dirt," "1970," "Search & Destoy," "1969" and "Penetration". If I get half of those, I'll be happy.
