[kj] OT: Few lunatic questions

Thing about much of the post-TG bands is that they seemed to take the
'industrial' tag too literally. Let's sample some machines & that. TG
were talking about society/living environment & reflecting the stark/nasty
sh!thole kinda place that the UK was in the 70's. Post-industrial wastelands
& so on. Hence I've never really been interested in the more literal takes
on industrial, such as Test Dept.

In truth, the 'industrial' tag only describes a tiny portion of TG, a lot of
which was their independence. The DIY Punk movement learnt a hell of a lot
from them... (flame me!)

And Neubauten would probably arbue about them being intentionally
industrial. In the beginning it was more of a case of not having enough
money to own instruments. And as time goes on their songs become more
"traditional" in the writing. It is the instruments that make it unique.
There is a lot more too it then that but lets keep it simple. Neubauten is
one of my favorites.
