[kj] OT: Few lunatic questions

I think the point I was trying to make is that just because KJ aren't
banging bits of metal doesn't mean they haven't had an ENORMOUS influence
on what could be described as 'Industrial Rock'. With all due respect,
bearing in mind I have much time for your knowledge of music, I find your
analogy bizarrely simplistic. I consider EDAVRE to be nearest to the
industrial rock thing, at that period in time - as well as their influence
on the whole alt/dark-rock/metal/techno/dance/intense/heavy/whatever scene
in the first place. I cannot see how they DON'T have a hand in the
industrial
scene. I hear Geordie-influence on Napalm's 'Diatribes' (itself a
groove-laden
EDAVRE -influenced monster of an album) & it gives me the 4kin HORN!!!

Regards TG, I'd say Discipline is full-on 4-on-the-floor techno & predates
much of the same. A genre all their own..

You idle music-journo, you! ;)

No, that was more Neubauten's shtick, but by the same token, TG never
employed instruments in anywhere near as conventional a manner as the
`Joke did (and continue to do).

As inaccessible as the `Joke may seem to many, they are -- and always
have been -- consummate musicians (just ask Jaz -- oh, on second
thought, please don't!) whereas TG were proudly oblivious of the
nature of true musicianship.

I don't believe the two bands have all that much in common beyond an
unflinchingly cheerless perspective on the state of the world (didn't
Jaz once go off on TG as being barely human?)
