... arrived yesterday & is the dogs back wheels.
Lush-a-liciousness-on-a-stick.
Great to work & chill to.
'A Long Season of Rain' is epic & 'Beyond Light' is simply divine.
It's refreshing to hear something so totally un-KJ from 2 KJ members & it's
fantastic to hear BPF drumming again.
Great understated artwork from Colesy too - perfectly balanced with the
music. Photography is reminiscent of some Vaughn Oliver stuff.
In fact all of it wouldn't be out of place on 4AD.
MD is becoming a really good little label.
All of this makes me think that Killing Joke need to reinvent themselves a
bit & start doing what they did best - sounding like nothing else around
them.
I'd rather an experimental KJ offering than something hitching a ride on the
back of the metal scene.
Who cares if it alienates some fans - there aren't that many of us anyway!
I am getting bored with Killing Joke.
Time to adapt or die.
There I've said it.
