[kj] Democracy drummer mystery

Maurice

Must have missed your original post on the subject. In my e-mail I didn't
name the Democracy drummer, because I've always had a suspicion. Now I'm
fascinated to see Marc come up with his version of events, i.e. much of
Democracy is not Dugmore, which I'd not heard before.

It certainly seems that the Pandemonium drumming is simply adequate, while
the Democracy drumming is something else. It is conceivable that it is the
same person, and that he is just liberated and part of the creation process
on the second of the pair. But it is plausible that it is someone else, and
it is certainly plausible that a falling-out ensued.

By the way, have to say Atkins is a great drummer, and he did great work on
Extremities. Intravenous? Slipstream? Only thing is, the toms sound like
cardboard boxes. Live, he is awesome.

To Peter West and others who don't get Democracy, some advice: programme
your player to miss out tracks 3, 4 and 10. Just pretend they don't exist.
And don't listen to other (better produced) KJ immediately before or after
(so the latest album should be OK then).
