G14 is the powerful group of Europe's top Clubs, they were formed to serve 
their own self interests. The European cup is important to them , it is 
worth about £20 million to the winners and alot more in commercial sales, so 
upto about £35Million all in all.
    The G14 members have been campaigning  for its members to automatically 
qualify each year, (even being in the competition is worth about £10 Million 
per year) without having to qualify. The g14 members have even whispered 
about forming a break away competition if their demands are not met. They 
are powerful because they have no one to oppose their will.
   If another team came along and started to dominate the European Cup, then 
it would severely dent their power and influence.
   Since its inception in 1993, there have been  13 winners and 13 losing 
finalists in the European cup, all 26 have belonged to G14.
   G14 do not want a non G14 tam wining Europe's major prize.
Chelsea do not belong to G14. Liverpool and Barcelona do
