[kj] a little prediction for you

Bringing Big Paul in would certainly put them back on the track of QUALITY
in my mind. He wasn't just a fantastic drummer, of course. I think Geordie
will just go along with most of what Jaz says, so that band needs someone
else with balls. Jaz stamps on them. BPF as a driving/creative force could
only be positive in my mind - I think they lost their 'art' from Pandemonium
onwards.

The reasons I think this will happen:

We are entering last chance saloon.

The recent utter balls up, the departure of Raven, the requirement for a
'KJ' bass player, the need for some integrity, the bleak commercial outlook,
the fact that Youth and Big Paul have teamed up, Big Paul's humility (as
evinced in that interview), a chastened Jaz(?) and the last hope of an angle
that will attract sufficient attention.

I'm not saying I wouldn't prefer Raven. I'm absolutely gutted he's gone.
More than any of the charades that have gone before, this one has really
caused a loss of my goodwill. I know many die hards feel the same.

And I never thought I'd say this, but the band may now be in possession of a
drummer who tops Big Paul - it would be very sad to say goodbye to Benny but
Big Paul really could bring something apart from his drumming.

It would be a pragmatic move. To really work it would need to be a 'split
four ways' thing, as it was originally.

Maybe they could even put Jaz back behind his keyboard.

All of this should happen round about when Jaz learns the humilty Big Paul
appears to have learned.

I'm not expecting this any time soon however.
