Wiki is cracking me up!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archetype
Wait until you get to the part about Obi Wan Kenobi!

*Within* and *without* are two separate ends of a
single idea.
Every idea contains it's opposite, otherwise it
couldn't exist.

I don't, but then again, I don't believe in Satan.
Christianity isn't my preferred system of thought.
I'm just playing "Devil's advocate" here pointing out
the flaw of language and the importance of Allegory.

Subject matter interests me, people who thrive on
conflict in a public forum don't. ;)
Of course, isn't this exactly what *I'm* doing here
too? :D

We can use whatever term we like but it all boils
down to the same thing, semantics.

I'm sure that the link on Jung above cleared this up?

Psychology isn't a "thought process" (unless you're
thinking along the lines that everything that's ever
been thought about is a thought process, but I don't
think that you're trying for that degree of
abstraction here).
"Satanism" can't be seen as an living entity.
By definition, it's a "system" of thought.
But, I'm glad that we're in agreement here.

Heh, when's the last time that you saw your
intuition, or your intellect, or your consciousness or
*me* for that matter?
Surely, these things still exist?
BTW, not having the "ability to believe in things
that don't exist", is quite a feat!
Are you not human like the rest of us?
Neat!

Do you remember your dreams when you wake up in the
morning?
Do "irrational" or "impossible" things ever happen
there?
Are they based in "reality"?
Where do you think dreams come from?
In yer head?
Sure, but when's the last time that you've seen the
inside of your head? :D
Call me a romantic, but I think that there's more to
you than just the outside of your head.

One side at a time.

I'm quoting you here.

Yes, you say they "exist" in people's heads, but then
you decided that if it isn't manifest here on the
physical plane it *doesn't* exist.
See below.

I'm quoting you again.
You're commenting and confused by your own commentary.
And as for things that don't "physically exist"...
Emotions?
Thoughts?
Hopes?
Dreams?
Time?
Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq? :D

I'm a bit confused and wanting to make sure that I
understand you here.
Are you saying that speech is proof that the thought
process exists?
By that token, I guess that "Reality TV" is further
proof then. :D

According to who, you?
Why should I take your word for it?
You're not taking mine.
Isn't this entire thread just about subjective
viewpoints anyway?
Since we're both different people, by Definition,
our "realities" will always be different.
> Have you met Satan ? No you

Heh, I meet Satan every time I drink Whisky!
Or, perhaps it's more appropriate to say that those
around me meet Satan whenever I drink Whisky. ;)

How do you *know* that no one's ever met Satan?
The world's been around for a lot longer than you
have.
Besides, would you believe them if they did? ;)

"The scene was wild and somewhat sinister. The
darkness, the palms, the mountainous background, the
silent lake below, the impenetrable canopy of space,
studded with secretive and significant stars, formed a
stupendous setting for the savage noise and blaze of
the ceremony."
