Hey! Lynx -- the animal -- is not extinct, but Lynx -- the piss-poor car 
-- is. But it happened to be my first car, a Mercury (not Dodge, though 
indeed dodgy), and it was piss poor, but in retrospect it did run 
forever -- some 200,000 miles by the time my brother buried it -- and it 
hosted many fond "firsts" for me. (Sorry, you just induced some 
unexpected nostalgia for me among an otherwise serious topic...wow did 
that car smell like hockey equipment by the end...)
