religion basically means 'to link', or words to that effect...

it seems that it could be taken to mean, the linking of the masses, in
stupidity and fear, making them sheep to the slaughter

or, it could be to link oneself to the divine source code of love within...

obviously, the former seems more abundent than the latter . . .

a good way i heard 'belief' described, was 'something you wish to be true'.
