Hello Brother Mike,

I saw Goldblade at last year's Beatles weekend in Liverpool, supporting The Buzzcocks and The Stranglers at the Pier Head.
Thoroughly entertaining and some great old school punk tracks. There was some great banter with the crowd (the majority of them being 'normal') and later went to Blackpool for another gig in the evening. I really rate them as a good, no frills, honest bunch of lads. Well worth checking out.

In case you didn't know, Goldblade are supporting The Damned on their current tour. I'm going to see them at the L2 in Liverpool next Thursday (14th Dec). Can't wait.

Enjoy Stourbridge!

Smig

Saw Goldblade for the first time last week supporting The Meteors and I must say highly entertaining and will certainly go and see them whenever possible. John Robb stripped to his waist I have to say looked rather lean (a little like me!!!!) and was incredibly energetic. Handed the mic to the audience a fair bit and invited various people up to do backing vox whcih was entertaining - I kept well back at this point given my tone deaf singing qualities.

The Meteors struggled a bit to start with their sound resulting in Paul P dropping his guitar marching across the stage and yelling at the soundman - poor bloke. It was all over the place though. He seemed to sort it during their version of "I Hate People" and it went well from there. Good gig not thebest time I've seen them but very enjoyable. Playing Stourbridge in March so shall pop along to that.
