I'm not one for making recommendadtions as its all personal taste and all that, but I strongly recommend you go and see NMA if you get the chance on their current U.S. and Europen tour. The recent UK gigs have been excellent.

Not very KJ to me, sure there must be some influence but Jaz's voice now sounds like an angry ogre while Richard Patrick's voice is more like an angry dwarf. 

I used to like Filter a lot on "Short Bus" i tried "Title of the Record" and it's kind of boring ("The Best Things" is the best of that album for me). Then i tried "The Amalgamut" and it's even more boring (i can't remember a song, and i still have the album somewhere)... lame. But still love "Short Bus" imho it's a great angry-heavy-dark album.
