[KJ] Geordie in my living room and new recording with Big Paul Ferguson and Ben !

Hi All,

Just had the opportunity to see the Mulhouse and Lyon's gigs and
spent quite the whole 2 days with the guys and got some infos :

* the new bassist is KNIEL and is very friendly and maybe a little bit shy (
comparing to Jaz of course !! )
* they are currently playing UNSPEAKABLE as everybody knows but rehearsed twice
MONEY IS NOT OUR GOD during the Mulhouse’s soundcheck
* there are no plan to do a common tour with Ministry ( in the French magazine
VERSUS of April 06, Al Jourgensen is speaking about one )
* they still love French cheeses and wines and Jaz spoke about it at the end of
the Lyon’s gig and read on stage the paper I wrote to him the day before when
he learned some French words ha ha ha !!
* Jaz made a signature session at the FNAC (biggest records shop in Lyon) with
quite a few people
* the lyon’s gig was full ( approx 450 / 500 people )
* Philippe ” Jesus “ (another French bastard) has spent the day off with them in
Lyon and they have visited our beautiful old town
*At the end of the day off, we spent some times drinking at the TSF’s Bar in
Lyon and then I drove Geordie and his girlfriend Alexandra at home
* Geordie has put the CD of his own demos of Hosannas and we played it loud in
the car

* We spent 2 hrs1/2 drinking excellent bottles of cold pink French Champagne,
eating wonderful “Nougats”;
* Geordie was so cool and relaxed and excited (and in love with Alex) ; he began
to choose some CDs among my collection and we put some Beatles “ I am the
Walrus”, Frank Black “ Los Angeles, Dinosaur Jr etc etc

* I showed to him a DVD of the Belgium broadcast Generation 80 when they were
playing Unspeakable and Exit with an old Stratocaster + their promos videos and
he laughed very very much looking to those old pictures ;o)
* We spoke about Stanley Kubrick reading my enormous collector book “ Stanley
Kubrick’s archives”
* During the way back to the bus tour, I let him listening on quite all the 23
covers of Killing Joke’s tracks I have: he enjoyed very much the one with PINK
( it’s not Cristina Aguilera Sorry Rob !) singing on the original tune and Mad
Capsule Market and of course Nouvelle Vague for Psyche
* Before leaving, he listened to a famous French rock track of Patrick Coutin “
J’aime regarder les Filles (it means “I love watching Girls”) and became very
excited in the car while Alex was sleeping in the back
* I think that we spent an unforgettable day & night and a very amazing one for
me
* Jaz in Mulhouse and Geordie at home ( so at different moments ) spoke about a
new recording with Big Paul Ferguson (and Ben of course)
* I told Jaz that the only bands I knew with 2 drummers were Murder Inc and
Ministry and if I remember well, he had a smile and a black eye ;o)))
* have met some nice gatherers ( Marc from Strasbourg and Tom Cavanagh I knew
from Milano’s gig
* Many Thanks to all the crew and band members, Veronika, Brenda, Alexandra and
the 2 Kings Jaz & Geordie
