I don't think Jaz has adopted the Lemmyvox to keep in time with any current musical trend, I just think it's because he's now simply INCAPABLE of actually singing the way he used to. Where once he was actually capable of being melifluous, his shredded chords can now only muster the croaky foghorn (with only fleeting moments wherein his formerly smooth vocal sound is evident). Again -- I blame the cigars, but that's just a theory.
