The lack of Extremities material really matters to me - another good reason
to 4kin' well
slaughter Tw at tkins - the irony being the amount of artists HE's 4kd over...

i would prefer they don't play anything from pandy or 2003 as well
although the chances of anything from Extremities being played is none -
until MA is either in a coma or a pine box ( anyone want to help expedite
this ?!! ;-) )
but kj really should play more from revelations, fire dances, the singles
like all play rebel, wilful days etc. nighttime, btats.
put the standards to bed for a decade or so

I disagree with the post 1989 thing. I wont mind if
they dont play anything off of KJ2003 or Pandemonium,
but I fully agree that the setlist has become way too
predictable.
I mean I was like genuinely excited when they played
'Song and Dance' live in Feb (I think it was that
gig...) because I hadnt heard it live in ages. So
yeah I'd like a lot more from Revs and Firedances. I
also yearn for some EDAVRE live.

Far to obscure there Jamie (looks puzzled), I do
feel that you are trying to
show off with you knowledge of KJ songs(shakes
head), it's like, look at all
these obscure songs I like(does w*nker sign), and do
you actually like
hearing "Me or You"(squirms uncomfortably on seat) ,
You list has a distinct
lack of post 1989 songs in it(look of bewilderment)
and I said before that
they should only play post 1989 songs(glares
confrontationally into computer
screen).
If they played that set-list Jamie, there would
be a queue of people
queuing up to get on stage in the hope of getting
batted off , knocked out
and only regaining consciousness the next day (GRIN
;-)

Some fair points there. The Joke have a very
strong back catalogue, and
could play some real blinders without wheeling out
Wardance for the 2000th
time. The setlist *does* change (no pun intended)
but not very much; not
enough, certainly. NMA, for instance, played
different sets completely when
they played their 20th anniversary gigs (so I'm
told) so it was a shame KJ
didn't do the same.
That said, what they do, they do brilliantly...
and you're still coming to
the gigs, aren't you?!
Jamie's alternative setlist:
Nuclear Boy (I love this track... anyone seem them
play it?)
Nervous System
SO36
Butcher
Exit
Chapter III
The Gathering
Feast of Blaze
Let's All Go
Wilful Days
Me or You (one my favourites)
New Day
Blue Feather
All Play Rebel
New Culture
Twilight of the Mortal
Rubicon
Sanity (also one of my favourites)
Tiahuanaco (this could be great live... imagine
Geordie playing it with
that trance-like expression)
Money Is Not Our God
The Fanatic
Mathematics of Chaos
Aeon
Hollywood Babylon
Our Last Goodbye
OK, 25 songs is maybe two gigs, but you get the
picture.
Jamie
