Some fair points there. The Joke have a very strong back catalogue, and could play some real blinders without wheeling out Wardance for the 2000th time. The setlist *does* change (no pun intended) but not very much; not enough, certainly. NMA, for instance, played different sets completely when they played their 20th anniversary gigs (so I'm told) so it was a shame KJ didn't do the same.

That said, what they do, they do brilliantly... and you're still coming to the gigs, aren't you?!

Jamie's alternative setlist:

Nuclear Boy (I love this track... anyone seem them play it?)
Nervous System
SO36
Butcher
Exit
Chapter III
The Gathering
Feast of Blaze
Let's All Go
Wilful Days
Me or You (one my favourites)
New Day
Blue Feather
All Play Rebel
New Culture
Twilight of the Mortal
Rubicon
Sanity (also one of my favourites)
Tiahuanaco (this could be great live... imagine Geordie playing it with that trance-like expression)
Money Is Not Our God
The Fanatic
Mathematics of Chaos
Aeon
Hollywood Babylon
Our Last Goodbye

OK, 25 songs is maybe two gigs, but you get the picture.

> Why:killing joke gigs have become all to predictable for the floating fans, you know exactly what you will get:Four songs from the first album, Two songs from Revelations, Four songs from WTF!, Two from Pandemonium, and two from the last album, and the actual songs they play from these albums are quite predictable (Wardance, Psshyce,Requiem, The Wait,Pandemonium, Sun goes down etc etc) and you know that Alex Harvey's "Faithhealer" will be the opening music, Jaz will march out in his white face paint and black clothes after the others have taken their places, stare wildly and then smile........you know what I mean, its all to predictable.
> You just know that the sound will be a mess, distorted and jumbled, so much so that you may not even know what song is being played.
> That is why they are having trouble shifting tickets.
>They need to reinvent themselves, play some different songs, sort the sound out.
> I wish that they would only play songs from 1989 onwards, drop all the early stuff , the early stuff has been played to death and everyone (band and fans) just goes through the motions.
