[kj] OT - superjumbo

Yeah, 'shake off the ghosts' is a decent tune. Sparkle in the Rain is probably my favourite album of theirs (aside from a singles compilation). the first four tracks- 'Up On The Catwalk', 'Book of Brilliant Things', 'Speed Your Love To Me', and 'Waterfront'- are all great. The second side's not so good, but still worth listening to.

Check out 'The American'- early track before they became a mainstream pop band (a good one though!).

I think it was called 'shaking off the ghosts', that was an ok track?

Fair comment mate. You know, the venom I displayed relates to the fact that I always hope
they can, or have, done something I like! I have Sparkle in the Rain, which I hoped might be
good as it's earlier than 'owt else I've heard, but it didn't catch my attention. I await something
to convince me.

Nah, they were great during their heyday. Following Streetfighting Years they did become totally shit, and surprisingly fast too. The moment the clock ticked over into 1990, the ability to write a decent song with a catchy chorus seemed to dribble out of their collective ears.
