Greg, are seriously trying to convince me that the lines about "24 million
people, Mexico city. Half a litre of water a day" sung about Mexico city in
2003 was actually about Iraq's sewage system  getting bombed in 1993?????
How the hell did you make that connection????
I'm talking about those two lines, and those two lines have no connection
with Iraq what-so-ever, yes, later in the song the word "invasion" is
mentioned, but still nothing about bombing sewage systems.
   You claim that the song is an exaggeration, but don't you think that its
exaggerated out of all proportion, instead of 24 million people on half a
litre a day, I would guess that the true figure is more like 15 million
people on 10 litres a day(living on, not drinking)
       Don't you think that it is wrong to make up facts and sing about them
as if they we fact.Again, rebel rousing stuff..............but unfortunately
with no
rational substance.

cause of death worldwide. Maybe that's why one of the things in Iraq that
the US intentionally bombed throughout the 90s were the sewage
systems--let's topple cheap oil seller (and former ally) Saddam my killing
off the population. So I think the song is a good metaphor for looking at a
system that can't provide the most basic needs--food, water, housing--for
huge #s of people. Draw your own conclusions (except for Peter, 'cause he's
nutty).
