As a long time scandinavian fan I didn't realize *anyone* here knew of
their existence and musical importance, beside myself and one friend and
none of us two was aware of the 2003 release. It just went under our
radar, which is perhaps to be expected as none of us have paid much
attention to anything labeled "rock-whatever" since the early nities or so.
I suppose there may be a young audience here, but if so they are in
another scene than us.

For me KJ is very much how they used to sound and I haven't got used to
the more straightforward rockbeats of the tracks I've heard from the 2003
Killing Joke CD. I'm not even sure I like it. It's probably great live.
That's how I remember KJ of the early eighties: one of the best live
experiences ever.

I suppose there is rock I could like though - I can hear quality also in
rock even if it's not my cup of tea-, perhaps it could be what KJ do now.
What I used to like, however, with KJ was Geordies' magnificient
polyrhytmic dissonant guitarplay, often the basslines and the polyrhytmic
beats blended with Jaz's emotional and often brilliant voice that really
touched me to the inner core. I can still feel the same as 20+ years ago
when I listen to KJ. It's still fresh.

I suppose I must listen to the new stuff and decide if it's worth going
to Berlin in December to experience them again.
