[kj] OT - Bass play

This is interesting to me, a fool with no musical talent (save my ear) 
but who likes to screw around with his guitar and KJ tabs. So bear with 
my ignorance: why do bass necks warp more/are more finnicky? I'm 
interested in the physics of it...suppose it has to do with heavier 
strings and length--but what do I know...
